1. Who we are

This website is operated as ValetBook ("we", "us", "our"), based in England. For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact VB@bookyourvalet.co.uk.

2. What we collect

Pre-launch voucher signups (closed): first name, email address, postcode and marketing consent.
Booking requests: name, email, phone, address, postcode, vehicle details, service location details (outdoor water and electricity availability, access notes) and any customer notes.
Contact enquiries: name, email, optional phone number and the message you send us.
Valeter applications: the details you submit on the become-a-valeter form (name, business name, contact details, areas covered, insurance information, experience, services and notes).
Payments: payment metadata from Stripe. Card numbers are never stored on our systems.
Basic technical data: IP address and browser information used for security and to keep the site running.

3. How we use it

To arrange your booking and assign a local valeter.
To take the £10 booking deposit and send booking-related emails (confirmations, reminders and receipts).
To honour pre-launch vouchers already issued and, if you opted in, to send launch updates. Pre-launch signups are now closed.
To respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Lawful basis

We rely on contract (to fulfil your booking and provide the platform service), consent (for marketing emails you have opted in to), legitimate interests (fraud prevention and service improvement) and legal obligation (tax and accounting).

5. Who we share it with

The assigned local valeter — once a valeter has been assigned to your booking, we share the details they need to carry out the service (name, address, postcode, contact details, vehicle details, service location details and any customer notes).
Stripe, which processes the £10 booking deposit.
Our hosting and email providers, which store and deliver messages and data on our behalf.
Authorities where legally required.

We never sell your data.

6. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy and to meet applicable legal, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements. Marketing preferences are held until you withdraw consent.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your data, to object to processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Email VB@bookyourvalet.co.uk to exercise any right.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to run the site and process bookings. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will change.
