The £10 paid when you book
When you book, you pay £10 by card via Stripe. This forms part of your total valet price, so the balance paid to your valeter is reduced by the same amount. Your date is held while we assign an available local valeter — we aim to confirm this within 24 hours.
Refund rules
- If we can't assign a valeter: full £10 refund. No action required — we'll process the refund and email you.
- More than 48 hours before your confirmed appointment: full £10 refund. Email VB@bookyourvalet.co.uk with your booking reference.
- Within 48 hours of your confirmed appointment: the deposit is normally non-refundable, as the assigned valeter has reserved the slot and time.
- Rescheduling: if you need to move to a different date, we'll try to accommodate you and carry the deposit over free of charge, subject to valeter availability.
Unsafe weather
If unsafe weather prevents the valet from going ahead, we will arrange a new date at no extra cost, or provide an appropriate refund.
Incorrect vehicle information
Your price is based on the vehicle size and condition selected during booking. If these details are materially incorrect, we will explain any revised price before work begins. If you decline a revised price within 48 hours of the appointment, the £10 deposit may be non-refundable because the booking slot and valeter time were reserved based on incorrect booking information.
Not happy with the service
The physical valeting work is carried out by an independent local valeter. If you're unhappy with the work on the day, please raise it immediately with the assigned valeter so it can be put right. If you can't reach a resolution, email us at VB@bookyourvalet.co.uk within 48 hours with photos and we'll help mediate.
Refund timing
Refunds are processed via Stripe back to the original card and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
Statutory rights
This policy does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
